Terms of Service

Last Updated: March 7, 2026

Welcome to Electronics Architect (the "Service"), owned and operated by Horton-Labs LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website at electronics-architect.com and our DC Power Architect tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

1. Description of Service

Electronics Architect provides web-based software for DC power architecture design, including real-time power analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and BOM (Bill of Materials) export. The Service is offered in both Free and PRO tiers. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

2. User Responsibilities and Engineering Disclaimer

The Service is intended to assist professionals and hobbyists in designing and analyzing power architectures. However, it is an analysis tool and does not replace professional engineering judgment, testing, or certification.

No Guarantee of Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, Horton-Labs LLC does not guarantee that the calculations, part search results (including live pricing), or Monte Carlo simulations are error-free.

Educational & Editorial Content: Any articles, tutorials, or reference materials provided on the Service are for educational purposes only and may not reflect the most current engineering standards or best practices.

High-Risk Applications: The Service is not certified for use in designing mission-critical systems where failure could lead to injury, death, or severe property/environmental damage. If you use the Service for designs in aerospace, defense, medical devices, or life-support systems, you do so entirely at your own risk and assume all liability. All schematics and outputs must be independently verified by a qualified engineer before production.

3. Account and Cloud Saves

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. While PRO and Free users have access to cloud saves, Horton-Labs LLC is not responsible for any loss of schematic data, BOM files, or design documents. We strongly encourage you to utilize the local file save/load feature to back up critical work.

4. Intellectual Property

The software, interfaces, algorithms, and original content of the Service are the exclusive property of Horton-Labs LLC. Your individual schematics, power architectures, and design data remain your intellectual property.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. Horton-Labs LLC expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific engineering requirements or that operation will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Horton-Labs LLC, its members, managers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the Service. In no event will our total liability to you exceed the amount you have paid us in the last six (6) months, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Horton-Labs LLC from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.
